The "Hate America Crowd" Has Got To Go!
Time To Vote These Republicans Out of Office!
by Steve Young
Oct. 15, 2006 -- HOLLYWOOD (apj.us) -- When Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly traipse out the "Hate America Crowd" catchphrase to label those who disagree with the President and his policies, one wonders if they might be speaking about those (all?) within the administration who care so little for the public's gathering of the whole truth, the truth needed to make proper and rightful decisions.
For in that dishonering of the American public, isn't it Bush and administration who actually hate America?
You know.... by massaging the truth similarly to the way Bill and Sean run their shows; having so little faith in their fans - who allow them their humongous contracts - as to broadcast just the parts of the (mis?)information that would lead listeners to only make the decision Bill and Sean want them to make.
They'll say that it's also "hating America" and "undermining our troops" to say our leaders have lied during wartime, as if pointing out a lie is the crime.
Do we criminalize witnesses who are brave enough to testify truthfully to misconduct? Only if your name is Joseph Wilson.
After all, who truly hates America if not those who lie to Americans while continuing a failed warring policy and reconstructing the Constitution without due process? And to say that Bush and his compatriots have not mislead and lied is, in the least, a mislead and a lie.
"You've done a heckuva job, Bownie."George Bush (of FEMA's Michael Brown - nuff said)
"The insurgency is in its last throes."Dick Cheney (of the rising violence from the insurgiency)
"I have not met with him personally."George Bush (of Kenneth Lay, former chairman of Enron, from whom Bush had received $2 million and with whom he met hundreds of times)
"I do not remember any reports to us, a kind of strategic warning, that planes might be used as weapons."Condoleeza Rice
"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."George Bush
"I question [Terri Schiavo's comatose diagnosis] based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office."Bill Frist
"I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees."George Bush
"There is somewhere around 30,000 Iraqi deaths."George Bush (though standard scientific study offers a figure more like 650,000)
And, of course, the ever popular...
"Mission accomplished!"George Bush (via accompanying background sign)
We all know that there are more lies that have been spread by Bush and his minions than there are American soldiers dead due to the lies - and the rubber stamp, Republican-led Congress and Senate have been their confederates. For that, they must go.
Of course, Billo and Sean will go to their graves explaining what the President and his cohorts "meant [parsed]" by these statements, but be sure, as they get lowered into those same graves they'll be condemning Clinton's "... depends what the definition of 'is' is."
On the other hand, when the the blowhard broadcast Lords of Loud pull the "Hate Bush Crowd" card, they do it as if placing the country and our brave fighting men and women in such a botched and bloody mess wouldn't lead to hating Bush as a logical and natural conclusion.
Hate Bush and his administration for the misleads and outright lying that's lead to horrific consequences?
How could we not?
