FROM: Pat McCauley (pmccauley@hastings.edu), M.A.T. Tammy Bruce rocks and she's got you people running scared - scared because she (and JJ Balzer replies:. I've forwarded your Cro-Magnon mail to the article's author, Jeff Koopersmith. You're only about seven months late in reading it. If you'd actually read more of our commentaries, you'd realize that the broad generalizations about our online 'zine's views are dead wrong -- for one example, how many "liberals" support the flat tax? Feeling stupid yet? But then, even you have to admit it's so facile to make broad, blanket assumptions and take uninformed shots. As for "there are more of us than there are of you" -- what the hell do you mean when you don't even take the time to define "us"? Do you mean "morons who parrot the latest tripe from talk radio, the Washington Times and NewsMax.com, and FOX News Channel rather than thinking for themselves"? I assume the "you" is the mythical "liberal elite" which, if you had actually bothered to delve into the subject, you would know is a fiction, a straw man that gets pulled out of the metaphoric duffel bag like a grotesque severed head to inflame and deceive simpletons such as yourself. So yeah, there are more of "you" than "us" -- which is one reason this nation is going right into the toilet. Tammy Bruce is an opportunist who seems to be in the pundit game strictly for the money and face time. It would not surprise me if she didn't believe half the nonsense that she spews on the biased FOX News Channel. It's not just her silly views and massive factual gaffes -- her entire persona smacks of coached, publicist-created phoniness. Bruce hardly "frightens" us -- other than that weird expression on her face suggesting she'd benefit from a Zoloft and a double martini with Steve Dunleavy. She's a joke. Stick to being a jock, chucklehead -- you show little intelligence or insight on political or cultural thought.
