Re: NOW Foundation

It is good to see that the NOW Foundation launched a website to encourage citizens to keep involved with what is going on in this beautiful nation of ours.

As a young woman I used their resource to help many of my women clients fight for their basic civil rights......the right to make a living.

You could always count on the NOW Foundation addressing the many issues relevant to the welfare of women fearlessly and with much well-directed passion.

It is good to see them still alive and vibrant many years later. I am retired now but thru their inspiration I was able to pick myself up by my bootstraps and make a living for myself and children.

Today, I am happily retired and am fortunate to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Yes, NOW Foundation was my inspiration.

I worked at a mental-health center and a lovely young social worker named Jane Hirschman helped organize my community and keep it from going down the tubes as many other communities did at that time.

NOW Foundation did not use a bully pulpit. Rather they used the truth and obviously continue in this tradition. To wit: recently I read where they are saying the same thing many of us activists are.......the pResident was selected not voted in.

However, the media seemed for the most part, to place a lid on the real truth. The state of Florida, the sunshine state, was invaded not by terrorists but by the Republican Governors et al
