We Get Letters!

Letter from the Grave?

From: "Bill Casey"
Re: His Stalinist dreams
Date: Jan. 30, 2002

Things have been tough for us lately with this whole patriotism swing
going on. With Bush's popularity so high He has taken the bully pulpit
with success. It' getting harder all the time to get the masses to buy
the " Bush is stupid " line. That may have to go the way of the Edsel.
Things have to get better, though. Hilliary said Bush is undoing fifty
years of progess so we may have to endure some hard times through the
coming years. We will eventually acheive all of our goals. We run the
media , we run the entertainment industry, we run the education system.
We must indoctrinate the children from the moment they can understand
that our One World . one government plan is best for the human race. My
hope is that one day a new Stalin will arise to establish the utopia we
seek. Stalin knew how to deal with those that did not tow the party
line. When the time comes those that disagree will be eliminated. All
must speak the onespeak, the voice of the people, or be silenced. There
is no place for selfish individualism in the world to come. I salute
you, comrades, for your untiring efforts towards this goal.

The Editors reply: Looks like someone forgot their Xanax...by the way, "Bill", how's Elvis?...

Re: Noelle Bush
Date: Jan. 29, 2002

"Columba and I are deeply saddened over an incident that occurred last night involving our daughter Noelle. This is a very serious problem. Unfortunately, substance abuse is an issue confronting many families across our nation. We ask the public and the media to respect our family's privacy during this difficult time so that we can help our daughter. We will have no further comment on this issue. Thank you for your understanding."

YEAH, RIGHT.  IMAGINE IF THIS WERE CHELSEA CLINTON!

What sort of family values do these folks have?

Booze & drugs.

Re: Gephardt
Date: Jan. 28, 2002

I saw Gephardt on Meet the Press too, and he weaseled, as usual.

Gephardt is a good congressman for working people like me, but he shouldn't be the minority leader, and he should stay off national television. I've always thought Gephardt and Foley gave Gingrich the ammunition to take over the House by not addressing issues such as welfare and tax cuts when Democrats had control of both houses and the Oval Office under Clinton.

I think the Democrats would be in much better shape if they found a new leader. How about Rosa DeLauro, or Charlie Rangel?

Re: Ralph Reed LIED to CNN about his Enron job!
Date: Jan. 28, 2002

With all the skilled people at Enron, why would they need "Ralph Reed" at $10K/$20K a MONTH (good Lord!)?

What's his oil/gas expertise or background? What's the justification?

The government used to undertake pretty tight auditing of companies with gov't contracts. Everything had to be justified and certified.

I still ask: was he paid as Ralph Reed or through his "organization"?

If the latter, is it a 501(c)(3) organization?

Is this how his "organization" makes money?

What exactly is the mission of this "organization"?

Just a way to pay himself a salary?

Re: Enron Crook Retirement Plan
Date: Jan. 27, 2002

A friend of mine on Wall Street told me that the Enron hierarchy have factored in a few years of low-security, country-club-like detention before they will be able to enjoy the BILLIONS of dollars they shipped to the shell companies located off shore. Their political benefactor (the current illegitimate resident of the White House) has said they can't be interfered with because everyone knows the U.S. doesn't ever interfere with the internal affairs of foreign countries -- especially not countries we completely control.
