Similar Lies, Different Treatments -- Part Two!
Jeb's Political Rival Is Punished for Lying About His Service Record -- While Jeb's Brother Is Rewarded for Lying About His Service Record

Wednesday, June 20, 2001 -- SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA (APJP) -- Get a load of this!
Daryl Jones, a black state lawmaker whose nomination to be Air Force secretary under President Clinton was rejected in a bitter fight in the Senate, said Tuesday he will run for governor.
The state senator and Miami lawyer becomes the first Democrat to enter the race to unseat Gov. Jeb Bush next year.
"Yeah, yeah," you're saying. "What's so interesting about that? Black people run for office and win all the time."
Read on, my little chickadees:
Jones, 46, was nominated in 1998 for the Air Force post but was rejected after the Senate heard testimony that Jones was grounded as a reserve fighter pilot and then lied about it. Jones denied the allegations.
Now, all Jones did was lie about being grounded as an Air Force Reserve fighter pilot.
On the other hand, Jeb's brother, George W. Bush, not only lied about his own grounding as a fighter pilot (that being with the Texas Air National Guard) -- but he also lied about his entire freaking military history, including why he deserted his Air National Guard posts for the better part of two years.
One again, ladies and gentlemen:
Two different liars…
...two similar lies (except for the fact that the lie told by Mr. Jones pales into insignificance compared to the constant lying Mr. Bush commits with regard to his military record)…
...two vastly different treatments…
Now, tell me again that the right wing doesn't control damned near everything in this country.
