Subject: Drug Laws

The mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years to LIFE used in the war on drugs are a disgrace.

The simple fact is, for the most part the wrong people are doing the mandatory minimum sentences, and are in some cases INNOCENT or lowest level offenders.

There's NO JUSTICE in this.

People who are caught with drugs or making and selling them are allowed to make deals with the feds to lessen their own sentences tremendously. All they have to do is give names,(it doesn't even matter for the most part if they're telling the truth or not), as anyone with any sense would know that a "snitch" would lie on their own mother to save his or her own butt!

People are being CONVICTED and sent to prisons to ROT for 10 to life on the word of snitches and DRUGLESS DRUG charges.

Something is wrong with this picture -- making taxpayers become tax burdens, ruining people(for nothing) and ruining endless families lives. And the sad part is some people who have the authority and know this is happening turn their heads and look the other way and scream about the INJUSTICES of other countries, and choose to ignore their own people who are being falsely imprisoned.

People who are caught with drugs and making and selling them are back on the streets IN SHORT TIMES, doing the same thing and laughing that such a MOCKERY of justice exists.

Crime should be punished, but PUNISHMENTS SHOULD FIT THE CRIME!!

Give the mandatory minimum sentences to killers, rapists, child molesters, and crime where guns are involved.

A lot of people hear the word "DRUGS" and go absolutely crazy, automatically assuming that the person accused is guilty. Where's reasonable doubt? A thing of the past. Where's innocent until proven guilty? Doesn't exist too often.

If you're unaware of this, then you need to be made aware of this. This is a war on people! Is JUSTICE just for those who can afford it?

Eric Sterling helped get this law in effect. Now he says its the worst tragedy of his career.

Please contact Mr. Sterling, please help Rep. Maxine Waters with her repeal, and contact FAMM.
